A Weekend of Mindfulness & Meditation
with Ajahn Maha Dam of Walk for Peace and fellow Monastics
Join us for a quiet, intimate weekend gathering over the 4th of July (July 2nd–5th, 2026), guided by Buddhist monks rooted in presence, compassion, and loving-kindness.
Throughout the weekend, we will share in walking and sitting meditation, listen to Dharma talks, and enjoy meals together. There will be ample opportunity for questions for the monks around the campfire.
This is a smaller, intentional gathering—designed to offer a supportive and peaceful environment for those seeking stillness, reflection, and deeper connection.
Terra Nova Center provides the perfect setting for this work. Our 200-acre mountain retreat offers a deeply supportive and naturally beautiful space where each person can slow down, breathe, and come back to themselves alongside others doing the same.
This is primarily a camping retreat, with participants invited to stay on the land and immerse themselves in the natural setting. A very limited number of indoor lodging spaces are available and are reserved for elders and those with mobility needs. Guests are welcome to arrive and set up camp on Thursday, with the retreat beginning Friday morning.
As this is an intentionally held gathering, we invite those who feel called to participate to complete the expression of interest on our registration page at www.terranovacenter.org/weekendofpeace. Additional information will be sent to attendees who complete the expression of interest and are invited to attend the gathering in the coming weeks.
